I always feel so smug whenever I discover a bargain, but not to the point that I don’t want to share my find with others. Lucky you. Today’s eureka moment comes courtesy of Thrillist.com. With their never-ending quest for LA trends and special deals, they’ve stumbled upon StubDog.com, a website dedicated to selling tickets to LA shows and events at half the normal ticket price.

In a world of marked-up Ticketmaster sorcery, it’s nice to find a website that actually cares about the little people and their pocketbooks. What’s their secret? When an event is undersold, they step in to help sell it out. Dodger’s games, roller derby tournaments, indie show-downs at the Knitting Factory, outdoor Shakespearean theater, cemetery walking tours (you heard me right), dance classes, film festivals, spoken word showcases, speed dating trials and more. Good times for half the price: totally smug.
