Paul Beckwith : Vice President

Paul was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas @ Austin with a degree in Political Science in 1993. Deciding to somehow put his education to use, Paul moved to New York City and began work as an Account Executive at Equinox only to realize his true calling was to pursue a career in his lifelong passion of music. He worked his way through the record business in various roles at New Breed Records, Def Jam Records, Uptown/MCA and Digital Mafia Entertainment and eventually landed in the Publicity department at Atlantic Records overseeing the publicity campaigns for such artists as Stone Temple Pilots, Hootie & the Blowfish, Page & Plant, Buena Vista Social Club and Brandy to name a few. While working at Atlantic, Paul saw an ever-growing market in the internet and continued his education in graphic design and online applications at the School in Visual Arts (NYC) in 1996.

In 1998 he took a position with Box Architecture in Dublin, Ireland (Blackpitts) where he oversaw all aspects of online development, management and Urban Design. Under the tutelage of David Dwyer, a leading authority in the Irish Urban Design arena, Paul developed a deeper understanding of social responsibility and the attributes required to make positive impacts on local communities. After 6 years and nothing but rain, Paul was offered a position with StubDog Inc. and bee-lined back to the States to more suitable weather and teamed up with life-long friend, CEO & Founder Sam Levassar. Since being at StubDog, Paul has overseen the redesign of the website and has been the key figure in building partnerships with the likes of NextAid, The Music Center Foundation and the Texas Children’s Cancer Center Arts in Medicine Program. With the support of his family and friends, taking on the role of Vice President of Operations has been a worthwhile transition.

Sam Levassar : CEO & Founder StubDog Inc.

Sam was also born in Houston and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Communications. Shortly after graduation, Sam moved to NYC, taking a position in the Event Marketing & National Promotions Department.  Moving into the Music & Talent Relations Department @ MTV Networks in 1995 gave Sam the ability to build lasting relationships in the industry which would prove beneficial in the years to come. The experience of working at VH1 during the launch of Save the Music would eventually provide the cornerstone in which StubDog Inc. would be modeled.

In 2006, StubDog.com was created as a platform to promote the arts and events going on in each city. Even more important, StubDog provides a way to become involved in the community and gives us an opportunity to give back and truly make a difference. The inevitable success of StubDog will be directly effected by the depth of our roots in each community. StubDog is always looking for ways in which to partner with like minded business's and foster relationships that prove far reaching. Without the support of his wife and friends, none of this would be possible.
